Remembrance Sunday 2026 is Sunday 8 November, and Wymondham’s arrangements are already published. The parade gathers at the Market Cross at 2pm and sets off at 2.30pm, led by the Norwich Pipe Band, to the war memorial. The Remembrance service is in Wymondham Abbey at 3pm. All of this comes from the Royal British Legion’s Wymondham branch, which organises it.

Note that Wymondham’s parade is in the afternoon, not the morning.

The branch has not published a route beyond “towards the War Memorial”, or the wreath-laying order. It also says nothing about road closures; if one is announced it will go on our roadworks and travel page.

Parking is free all day. South Norfolk Council’s charges run Monday to Saturday, so the four town car parks cost nothing on a Sunday. Details of each car park are on our parking page.

Diss: parade, Market Place and St Mary’s

Diss Town Council’s Remembrance page confirms the same date, Sunday 8 November 2026, and the shape of the day:

  • A parade along Mere Street of local organisations, veterans, community groups and young people.
  • Wreath-laying on the Market Place.
  • A Remembrance service at St Mary’s Church.

The council organises it with Diss and District Royal British Legion, the Salvation Army, St Mary’s Church, RAFA, the army and air cadets, Diss High School and 1st Diss Scouts.

Armistice Day

Armistice Day, 11 November, falls on a Wednesday in 2026. Neither the Wymondham branch nor Diss Town Council has published an event for it yet.
