Santa is at Wymondham Heritage Museum on 28 and 29 November, Diss Museum on 5 December, Wynterfest on 6 December and Bressingham from 6 to 24 December.

Father Christmas has five confirmed stops around Wymondham and Diss in 2026. The first is Wymondham Heritage Museum on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, run by Wymondham Lions. Then come Diss Museum on Saturday 5 December, Wynterfest in Wymondham on Sunday 6 December, Wymondham Garden Centre on Saturday 12 December, and the ticketed Christmas at Bressingham on nine days from 6 to 24 December. Only Bressingham has published prices so far. Each entry below links to the organiser’s own announcement, checked on 25 September 2026.

Wymondham Heritage Museum, 28 and 29 November

Wymondham Lions set out their Christmas in an August article by the club’s John Wilde. He says Santa “will appear at two grottoes at the Heritage Museum” on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, the weekend after the lights switch-on on Thursday 26 November. Times, prices and whether you need to book have not been announced.

The museum is in the old Bridewell, in the town centre. The Saturday falls inside the town’s paid parking hours, where the first hour is free; Sunday parking is free all day. See our parking page.

Diss Museum, 5 December

The grotto at the Diss Christmas lights switch-on is in Diss Museum on the Market Place. Diss Town Council’s events committee agreed at its 21 July 2026 meeting that it will run 3.30pm to 5.30pm. Families still queuing at 5.30pm get a ticket slip, and the grotto reopens from 6.15pm to 7.15pm for slip holders only, after the switch-on. The committee’s minutes also record children’s books being stocked as the grotto gifts.

Wynterfest, 6 December

Together For Wymondham, which runs Wynterfest this year, has confirmed “the traditional arrival of Father Christmas in a parade” and “a grotto hosted by Money Properties”. The Lions’ article says Santa returns that day, “when the roads are closed for Wynterfest”. Times have not been published. Our Wynterfest page has everything known so far, and will be updated.

Wymondham Garden Centre, 12 December

The Lions’ article says “Saturday December 12th sees him at Wymondham Garden Centre’s annual Christmas Grotto”. The garden centre has not yet published its own dates, times or prices, so check with it before you go.

Bressingham Steam Museum, 6 to 24 December

The only fully ticketed Santa in the district, and the only one with prices out. Tickets are for timed grotto slots, and every ticket includes a train ride and three rides on the Victorian Gallopers. Adults are £15, children aged 3 to 15 £20, and there is 25% off if you book between 23 September and 6 October. The Lions in care homes

Not a grotto, but part of the same Christmas: the Lions visit care homes on 9, 10 and 11 December with the South Norfolk Community Choir, singing carols, with Santa bringing each resident a gift. They also collect at Waitrose on 27 and 28 November.
